Rebecca Hunt, Providence Academy Founder and Devoted Educator, Dies Suddenly in Rockwall, Texas, After a Life of Faith, Family, and Service

Rebecca Hunt, the founder of Providence Academy, died suddenly in Rockwall, Texas, reportedly while in their 40s.

In 2009, Hunt established Providence Academy in Rockwall County to provide a Christ-centered, classical Christian education for their daughter and other local students.

The school grew from that vision and influenced many students, teachers, parents, and families through its focus on biblical principles, character, and learning.

Hunt regularly recorded lessons from Lakepointe Church in a treasured journal received as a birthday gift from a student named Felicity.

The final sermon note reportedly carried the title “A Call to Die,” a message by David Nasser that now holds profound meaning for the community.

Hunt built a life around Christian faith, education, service, and a deep commitment to family.

As the spouse of Zachary Hunt and a parent of five children, Hunt placed family at the heart of daily life.

Family members, friends, church members, educators, and local families now mourn a dedicated school founder whose enduring legacy remains within Providence Academy and Rockwall County.
